Dhaulagiri 8,167m lies in north – west of Pokhara concluding to its highest point at the eastern end is the 7th highest mountain in the world. Dhaulagiri literally means ‘white mountain’ was first discovered in 1808.It is one of the most popular and unique peak for climbing in the world which rises imperially in isolation above the deep cliff of the Kali Gandaki valley.Around Dhaulagiri trekking is one of the challenging adventure trekking in Nepal following glaciers and crossing high snow capped passes. Dhaulagiri base camp trekking begins at Beni after 3-4 hours from pokhara passing through the beautiful village of Darbang, Muri, Chariban, Itialian base camp, Dhaulagiri base camp , french pass, Dhumpus pass and finally reach at Marpha assemble of Annapurna circuit trekking trail. Trekking in Dhaulagiri base camp is remarkable life time experience with immense massif display of the hidden lands of Dolpo to its north, and Nepal's far western hills to the west. Dhaulagiri circuit trekking include two passes French pass 5360m & Dhampus pass 5234m which require good physical fitness for trekking. It offers stunning Himalayan views of Mount Dhaulagiri 8167m, Mt. Manaslu 8163m, Mt.Annapurna 8091m with other 23 snowy peaks , lush valley , the hidden valley , the pilgrimage Jomsom muktinath trail along with beautiful landscape. Only camp/tent trip can be done in Dhaulagiri pass trekking. The trail takes youthrough the immaculate valley of Myagdi, green terraced hillsides, traditional villages, rugged terrain of massif Dhaulagiri which is tough but technically straightforward.
